As part of the project "Improving the Protection of Children in Emergencies in Ukraine by Providing Safe Shelters, Food and Non-Food Items, and Psychosocial Support", the Charitable Organization "Charity Fund "Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya" purchased and delivered a shipment of charitable aid to meet the needs of four feldsher-midwife stations (FAPs) in the Mykolaiv region.
In response to a request from the local administrative districts, four shipments of charitable aid were assembled. They included nearly a hundred types of medications, medical devices (blood pressure monitors, scales, height measuring devices, nebulizers, etc.), and medical consumables (syringes, gloves, bandages, wipes, test strips, and other essential supplies).
Supporting feldsher-midwife stations in frontline regions with medicines and medical consumables is critically important for saving lives in areas where civilian infrastructure remains under constant strain due to ongoing hostilities. In many de-occupied and frontline communities, a FAP remains the only available point of primary healthcare, where people—especially the elderly, people with limited mobility, and families with children— can seek timely medical assistance. The donated medications enable healthcare workers not only to deliver routine treatment and monitor chronic conditions among local residents, but also to provide emergency pre-hospital care for injuries and trauma directly on site. The timely delivery of supplies ensures that specialists can work without interruption even under the most challenging conditions, restoring people’s sense of security and providing basic care for their health.
The project "Improving the Protection of Children in Emergencies in Ukraine by Providing Safe Shelters, Food and Non-Food Items, and Psychosocial Support" is being implemented by the Charitable Organization "Charity Fund "Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya" with the support of "terre des hommes Deutschland e.V." and funding from the German Federal Foreign Office.
