Charitable aid for an intensive care hospital in the Dnipropetrovsk region

20/08/2026

As part of the project "Improving the Protection of Children in Emergencies in Ukraine by Providing Safe Shelters, Food and Non-Food Items, and Psychosocial Support", the Charitable Organization "Charity Fund "Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya" purchased and delivered a shipment of charitable aid to meet the needs of the Pavlohrad Intensive Care Hospital, a municipal non-profit enterprise of the Pavlohrad City Council.

To support the emergency (urgent) medical care department at the Pavlohrad Intensive Care Hospital, the Committee purchased and has already delivered a shipment of medical supplies, including medicines and consumables (decompression needles, individual hemostatic pouches, and other critical items) to the Dnipropetrovsk region.

Since the beginning of the full-scale russian-Ukrainian war, the healthcare facility has been operating under conditions of heightened risk due to its proximity to the zone of active hostilities. The city of Pavlohrad is subjected to enemy attacks on a daily basis, which regularly result in mass casualties being brought to the hospital.Specifically, during the first half of 2026 alone, the hospital staff provided medical care to nearly 1,500 patients with war-related injuries. At the same time, the hospital continues its routine work of providing qualified medical care to patients, including local residents and internally displaced persons now living in the community.

The project "Improving the Protection of Children in Emergencies in Ukraine by Providing Safe Shelters, Food and Non-Food Items, and Psychosocial Support" is being implemented by the Charitable Organization "Charity Fund "Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya" with the support of "terre des hommes Deutschland e.V." and funding from the German Federal Foreign Office.
