As part of the medical component of the project "Improving the Protection of Children in Emergencies in Ukraine by Providing Safe Shelters, Food and Non-Food Items, and Psychosocial Support", the Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya donated medical equipment and office equipment to a city hospital in the Kyiv region.

This refers to the Rokytne Multidisciplinary Hospital, a municipal non-profit enterprise that provides primary, secondary, specialized, and emergency medical care to residents of the Bila Tserkva district and residents of neighboring territorial communities. The hospital’s service area covers approximately 35,000 people, including around 6,000 internally displaced persons. The facility comprises 7 inpatient departments (pediatrics, neurology, internal medicine, surgery, obstetrics, gynecology, and infectious diseases), as well as an anesthesiology department, a clinical diagnostics department, and a number of support services (clinical laboratory, X-ray department, functional diagnostics office, physical therapy, etc.). To improve the quality of diagnostics and medical examinations for the local population, the hospital needed an electroencephalograph. In response to this request, the Committee purchased and delivered the necessary equipment to Kyiv Oblast. The EEG machine will meet the need for monthly examinations of 30–35 adult patients and 10–15 children.

The new equipment has already been installed in a specially equipped room at the Rokytne Multidisciplinary Hospital. To further optimize the delivery of medical services at the facility, CAMZ also provided the staff with additional office equipment – a computer and a printer.

The project "Improving the Protection of Children in Emergencies in Ukraine by Providing Safe Shelters, Food and Non-Food Items, and Psychosocial Support" is being implemented by the Charitable Organization "Charity Fund "Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya" with the support of "terre des hommes Deutschland e.V." and funding from the German Federal Foreign Office.
