Throughout March, the Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya, in response to requests received, donated medicines, seasonal vitamins, medical supplies, hygiene and disinfection products, food, and blankets to medical facilities in Kirovohrad, Kyiv, Odesa, Mykolaiv, Zhytomyr, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Khmelnytskyi, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Kherson regions. In addition, thanks to cooperation with the organization "Electricians without borders," 17 power stations of various capacities were sent to meet the needs of healthcare facilities in the Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, and Dnipropetrovsk regions, and a large 125 kW generator on a trailer was donated to a hospital in Kharkiv. We also donated a vehicle—along with a shipment of medical supplies—to one of the regional intensive care hospitals in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
With the support of the organization "terre des hommes Deutschland e.V." and funding from the German Federal Foreign Office, the Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya continues to implement the medical component of the project "Improving the Protection of Children in Emergencies in Ukraine by Providing Safe Shelters, Food and Non-Food Items, and Psychosocial Support." Throughout March, shipments containing batches of medicines and medical supplies were donated to hospitals in the Kharkiv and Chernihiv regions.
As part of the project "Overcoming Barriers to Ensure Resilience: Strengthening Social Cohesion, Peace, and the Protection of Children and Youth in Internally Displaced Persons’ Communities and Host Communities in Ukraine," which the organization is implementing with the support of "terre des hommes Deutschland e.V." and funding from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, a workshop was held "Working with Children: Behavioral Challenges, ADHD, Disabilities, and Support for Educators" was held with the participation of medical specialists.
The Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya donated a shipment of rehabilitation equipment to the Mental Health and Rehabilitation Center, which was opened in March in one of the communities of Zakarpattia Oblast.
