Partners of the Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya from the Association SAFE (France) responded to a request from the Okhtyrka City Territorial Community in Sumy region and donated a powerful American Auger DD6 drilling rig for the needs of socially important infrastructure facilities.
The equipment received by the community is a powerful drilling rig designed for horizontal directional drilling. The drill will ensure trenchless laying of utilities under natural or artificial obstacles where open soil development is impossible, impractical, or prohibited. An equally important function is work in densely populated areas where asphalt pavement, buildings, and landscape need to be preserved.

According to the community, the length of the installation is 180 meters, which allows for the most complex work to be carried out to replace communications in the city – from heating mains to water pipes. The need for such repair work is extremely urgent for Okhtyrka. Now local specialists are mastering the new equipment, determining priorities for its use, and awaiting another humanitarian shipment from France with additional components that will expand the functional capabilities of the drilling equipment.

The documentation support for logistics was organized by CAMZ specialists, who were in constant contact with the sender and recipient to ensure that the entire process was coordinated and that the equipment was delivered to the community in a timely manner.
As a reminder, earlier, with the assistance of the French Association SAFE, the Committee donated an excavator to the war-affected communities of Chernihiv region and a backhoe loader for the construction of fortifications in the southern direction.
