As part of the medical component of the project "Improving the Protection of Children in Emergencies in Ukraine by Providing Safe Shelters, Food and Non-Food Items, and Psychosocial Support", the Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya donated charitable aid to the City Emergency Medical Care Hospital of the Kropyvnytskyi City Council.
This aid consists of equipment designed to provide medical care to premature babies who are being treated in the neonatal intensive care unit. The medical facility received a patient monitor, vascular catheters, a bilirubinometer, and a disposable heated breathing circuit for infants, which is used to support respiratory function in newborns.

During the first 10 months of 2025, 825 babies were born in the medical facility, more than 50 of them prematurely. Therefore, supporting the sustainable functioning of the neonatal intensive care unit is important in the joint interaction between state and non-governmental institutions.
The project "Improving the Protection of Children in Emergencies in Ukraine by Providing Safe Shelters, Food and Non-Food Items, and Psychosocial Support" is being implemented by the Charitable Organization "Charity Fund "Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya" with the support of "terre des hommes Deutschland e.V." and funding from the German Federal Foreign Office, is ongoing.
