As part of the medical component of the project "Improving the Protection of Children in Emergencies in Ukraine by Providing Safe Shelters, Food and Non-Food Items, and Psychosocial Support", the Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya donated another charitable shipment to Kherson Oblast, intended for three local paramedic and obstetric stations and a rural clinic in the Novooleksandrivka community.
Due to russian military aggression, the settlements of the Novooleksandrivka territorial community were occupied for seven months, and after liberation, they continue to suffer from constant artillery shelling and enemy drone attacks. The security situation has led to a difficult situation with the material and technical condition of medical facilities, damage to infrastructure in the community, and hardship for the population. However, local specialists continue to work and at the same time are looking for partners who would help overcome the consequences of the war in the field of healthcare.
Currently, there are eight settlements in this community, four of which are located in the zone of active hostilities. Of the total pre-war population of 6,060, less than a thousand remain today, most of whom are members of vulnerable groups, including children.

In response to a request from the Novooleksandrivka rural military administration, the Committee sent a shipment of medicines and consumables, rapid tests for determining various health indicators, and medical equipment – tonometers and inhalers – to the Kherson region.
The project "Improving the Protection of Children in Emergencies in Ukraine by Providing Safe Shelters, Food and Non-Food Items, and Psychosocial Support" is being implemented by the Charitable Organization "Charity Fund "Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya" with the support of "terre des hommes Deutschland e.V." and funding from the German Federal Foreign Office.
