The project "Improving the Protection of Children in Emergencies in Ukraine by Providing Safe Shelters, Food and Non-Food Items, and Psychosocial Support", which the Charitable Organization "Charity Fund "Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya" is implementing with the support of "terre des hommes Deutschland e.V." and funding from the German Federal Foreign Office, is ongoing. One of the project's areas of focus is humanitarian support for vulnerable groups, in particular families with children affected by the war.
In October and November, nearly 200 families from the target group received food kits in Zaporizhzhia. The majority of recipients (86%) were internally displaced persons who were forced to leave their homes due to the temporary occupation of Ukrainian settlements by russian troops or the deterioration of the security situation in the region. Almost a quarter of the beneficiaries were people with disabilities. In this way, we were able to respond to the needs of those who require additional assistance in the context of the war.

Local volunteers Denys Levin and Yulia Shved ensured the optimization of work directly in the community. We thank our partners for their prompt and responsible work.
The project is ongoing, and similar activities are planned to support IDPs from Mariupol who currently reside in Zakarpattia.
