As part of the project "Improving the Protection of Children in Emergencies in Ukraine by Providing Safe Shelters, Food and Non-Food Items, and Psychosocial Support", the Charitable Organization "Charity Fund "Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya" provided charitable assistance at the request of the Sumy Regional Council's municipal non-profit enterprise "Regional Clinical Perinatal Center".

The medical facility is the largest maternity hospital in the Sumy region. It handles births for women with high perinatal risk, as well as premature births. To support the institution, its patients, and newborns, CAMZ purchased medicines, consumables, and a surgical ceiling LED lamp, which has already been installed in one of the rooms of the perinatal center. 

Despite constant hostile shelling, which also affects healthcare facilities, doctors in Sumy region continue to provide prompt and high-quality medical services to the population, among whom women and children remain the most vulnerable to the threats of war. It is precisely these categories of citizens that are the focus of the project, which the Committee is implementing with the support of "terre des hommes Deutschland e.V." and funding from the German Federal Foreign Office.
