On Monday, January 27, the Uzhhorod branch of the Transcarpathian Regional Employment Center (TREC) held an information session at the temporary accommodation facility for IDPs "PrykhystOK", which is run by the Charitable Organization "Charity Fund "Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya". 

The practical seminar "Active Employment Programs Offered by the Employment Service for Internally Displaced Persons" brought together fifteen stakeholders, both shelter residents and IDPs from outside the facility. It is important that the speaker was the head of the Uzhhorod branch of the TREC, Yosyf Kazhmir. According to him, the state, through employment centers, is currently offering a number of programs that allow people to update their professional skills, acquire new ones, receive grants to start their own business, consultations on available jobs in the region, etc. This information is especially in demand among internally displaced persons who came to Uzhhorod and the region because of the war and whose integration into the community is taking place, among other things, through employment or alternative employment.

The meeting in the Uzhhorod shelter is part of the project "Improving the Protection of Children in Emergencies in Ukraine by Providing Safe Shelters, Food and Non-Food Items, and Psychosocial Support", which the Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya is implementing with the support of "terre des hommes Deutschland e.V." and funding from the German Federal Foreign Office. In addition, the event is a continuation of the cooperation agreement concluded in the summer of 2024 with the Uzhhorod branch of the Transcarpathian Regional Employment Center.
