Karine Meaux, head of the emergency response department at Fondation de France, recently paid a working visit to Transcarpathia. Fondation de France is an organization with which the Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya has been cooperating for a long time, implementing socially relevant projects.

At the beginning of her visit, Karine Meaux took part in a panel discussion entitled "For the match to happen and Ukraine to win: international grant support for civic initiatives in wartime" as part of the 5th Re:Open Zakarpattia Forum. Then, together with Nataliya Kabatsiy, director of the Charitable Organization "Charity Fund "Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya", the guest visited facilities created thanks to the fruitful cooperation between the two organizations. These include a shelter for internally displaced persons in the city of Tyachiv, the purchase of which was financed by the Fondation de France, and a similar facility in the village of Nyzhnye Selyshche, where the French Foundation also participated in co-financing the project. In addition, three separate apartments in the Nyzhnye Selyshche shelter were furnished at the expense of French partners. 

Today, Fondation de France is also a partner of the Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya in the implementation of two projects in the field of psychosocial support for the population – "Providing Psychosocial Support to the Population of Zakarpattia Oblast in War Conditions" and "Mental Health Support Program for Medical Staff of Ukrainian Hospitals", which are being implemented directly by specialists from the NGO "Vigorous Moment". 

As a reminder, last year a large partnership meeting of the Fondation de France was held in Uzhhorod with representatives of 18 public institutions from different parts of Ukraine.
