On Friday, June 4, the unit for the provision of social services, namely the daycare unit for children and people with disabilities, was solemnly opened on the basis of the Social Abilitation and Rehabilitation Centre "Parasolka". They were greeted by the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Anatoliy Poloskov, his first deputy Myroslav Biletsky, the head of the regional department of social protection Mykhailo Petrishka, the mayor of Tyachiv Ivan Kovach, and the Head of the Tyachiv Raion Administration Timur Averin.

"Parasolka" was not chosen by chance to launch an important initiative for ​​public support. According to Anatoly Poloskov, the institution is a successful example of the implementation of the best practices and programs to help people with disabilities. That is the reason for the decision to continue the great work of updating, humanising, and modernising state social policy in "Parasolka". Authorities also reminded of the Concept of implementation of the state policy on social protection and protection of children's rights approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine in 2020, according to which the sphere of social protection will be reorganised and aimed at expanding opportunities for social services in communities improving their quality.

Even now, residents of Tyachiv raion - people with disabilities who need support or rehabilitation measures, will be able to receive the necessary social services of appropriate quality directly in their community. In the future, the whole system of social protection should become more targeted, and therefore more effective, focused on current needs, according to which the team of specialists involved will be formed.

The longer we work in the field of social protection, the more we learn about the real problems and needs of people who find themselves in difficult life circumstances. And this experience is always dynamic - it becomes the basis for new ideas, plans, initiatives. It is important for us to see both the support of the authorities and the understanding of the residents of the community, and what is the most important - the improvement of our inhabitants, and now the clients of the new unit, "- said during the meeting, the director of CAMZ Nataliya Kabatsiy.

The creative group of inhabitants of the Social Abilitation and Rehabilitation Centre "Parasolka" performed as a part of the celebration. Their example is the best evidence of the right way of development of the social protection system and deinstitutionalisation reform in the country.
