On the occasion of the International Volunteer Day, the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Oleksiy Petrov commended the work of the "Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattia". In particular, the importance of supporting the development of the Vilshany orphanage and the initiation of a pilot project in Ukraine - the construction of the Centre "Parasolka" for children and people with disabilities in Tyachiv was emphasized.

For significant personal contribution to the development of the volunteer movement and active participation in public life together with representatives of the volunteer community of Zakarpattia Nataliya Kabatsiy, the director of CAMZ, received a diploma from the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration.

“Volunteers are people with big hearts who, in very difficult times for Ukraine and the whole world, unite, donating their time, and provide help to people in need. The difficulties that exist now, thanks to you, your opportunities, and activities, we are overcoming together. It is very pleasant that these are not situational things; they are systematic help on your part. This is not some kind of advertisement; this is the call of your soul, your heart. I am sure, whatever the situation, we – the state and society – will always rely on you," – said Olexiy Petrov.

Let us recall that in 1985 the UN General Assembly proposed to celebrate the "International Volunteer Day for Economic and Social Development" on December 5. We congratulate everyone who shares our values, way of life, and views - to be not indifferent to someone else's misfortune, to be open to cooperation and constructive dialogue in the name of solving urgent social and humanitarian problems and the development of civil society in Ukraine.
