Thursday, September 10, the Organizing Committee of the international scientific-practical conference on “Current Issues of a Development of the System of Provision of Educational, Social, Medical, Habilitation / Rehabilitation Services to Persons with Disabilities” met for the sixth time. The content of the conference sections and the algorithm for further implementation of the developed recommendations were discussed.

Thus, the participants stressed that the work of the sections should correspond to the target structure, which is the articulation of requests from interested stakeholders and individuals, discussion of existing tools and positive experience of ensuring norms and conditions of deinstitutionalization, development of proposals for reforming the relevant sphere in Ukraine.

The moderators of the thematic sections of the conference together with the speakers work out the key messages of the final resolution. Among other things, in the context of today's discussion, the participants stated that a number of problems and contradictions in the provision of services for people with disabilities are related to the lack of communication. It is emphasized that there are violations of communication links, starting with the individual, the community, local governments and public administration, central government. The mission of the expert discussion is focused, in particular, on intensifying the dialogue at various levels.

So far, almost 40 people have applied to participate in the conference, including scientists and practitioners from all regions of Ukraine and abroad, industry representatives of central authorities, and representatives of public organizations.
