The speakers of the international scientific-practical conference on “Current Issues of a Development of the System of Provision of Educational, Social, Medical, Habilitation / Rehabilitation Services to Persons with Disabilities” will be scientists and practitioners from all regions of Ukraine and abroad (Switzerland, Netherlands, Slovakia, Lithuania, Uzbekistan, etc.), sectoral commissioners of central authorities, representatives of public organizations.

The conference will take place on September 23-25. Given the current quarantine restrictions, the Organizing Committee agreed to provide a remote format of the event. This, however, does not affect the representation, content and mission of the conference.

Preliminary consultations and discussions have identified the key issues for a discussion:

• Professional management in ensuring the effective functioning of the system of providing quality services to persons with disabilities
• Communications in the formation of a tolerant and inclusive society
• Formation of human resources of service providers and heads of relevant departments
• Deinstitutionalization of structures and functions of the system of providing effective educational, medical, social, and rehabilitation services for people with disabilities at the regional level
• The main directions of improving the practical skills of future professionals

An important intersectoral discussion is organized by the Charitable Organization «Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattia», Uzhhorod National University, and Parasolka Association (Switzerland) in partnership with the Department of Social Protection of the Population of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, Regional Rehabilitation Centre «Road of Life», SOFT Tulip Foundation (Netherlands).
