As part of the medical component of the project "Improving the Protection of Children in Emergencies in Ukraine by Providing Safe Shelters, Food and Non-Food Items, and Psychosocial Support", the Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya donated a shipment of medicines, supplies, and equipment to meet the needs of a first-aid station (FAP) in the Mykolaiv region.
This refers to the Vasylivka FAP in the Snihurivka community. The medical facility serves several hundred patients, including children and people with disabilities, who remain in the region near the front lines despite the difficult security situation. In accordance with the request received from the first-aid station, three dozen types of medications and supplies (bandages, syringes, tourniquets), as well as a blood pressure monitor and a medical oto-ophthalmoscope were purchased—a complete diagnostic examination kit that allows for a quick and effective comprehensive examination of the ear and the fundus of the eye.
We would like to emphasize once again that providing comprehensive support to first-aid stations is critical to the survival of community residents who are under constant enemy shelling and drone attacks. After all, these medical facilities are often the closest or only ones available to the public when access to larger hospitals is limited.
As a reminder, last month, as part of this project, CAMZ donated a shipment of medicines and supplies to four paramedic and obstetric stations in the Kherson region. Earlier this year, a similar shipment was delivered to a health center in the Mykolaiv region.
The project "Improving the Protection of Children in Emergencies in Ukraine by Providing Safe Shelters, Food and Non-Food Items, and Psychosocial Support" is being implemented by the Charitable Organization "Charity Fund "Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya" with the support of "terre des hommes Deutschland e.V." and funding from the German Federal Foreign Office.
