As part of the medical component of the project "Improving the Protection of Children in Emergencies in Ukraine by Providing Safe Shelters, Food and Non-Food Items, and Psychosocial Support", the Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya donated a shipment of medicines and supplies to four paramedic and obstetric stations in the Mylivska rural community in the Kherson region.
Supplying paramedic and obstetric stations with medications is critical to the survival of community residents who are under constant enemy shelling and drone attacks. Today, the Mylivska community is home to over 750 people, including children, the elderly, people with limited mobility, and people with disabilities who require emergency care on a daily basis.
With limited access to large hospitals, local first-aid posts have become virtually the only source of medical care for the civilian population. The provision of a wide range of medications—from cardiac and antihypertensive drugs to anti-inflammatory and pain-relief medications—enables local medical personnel to respond promptly to critical conditions. In addition to medications, the FAPs received necessary consumables, infusion systems, and medical care products, which significantly enhances their capabilities in the combat zone.
As noted by the Mylivka Rural Military Administration, each such delivery is not merely a humanitarian shipment, but a real chance to save lives and protect people’s health in the extremely difficult conditions of war.
The project "Improving the Protection of Children in Emergencies in Ukraine by Providing Safe Shelters, Food and Non-Food Items, and Psychosocial Support" is being implemented by the Charitable Organization "Charity Fund "Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya" with the support of "terre des hommes Deutschland e.V." and funding from the German Federal Foreign Office.
