As part of the medical component of the project "Improving the Protection of Children in Emergencies in Ukraine by Providing Safe Shelters, Food and Non-Food Items, and Psychosocial Support", the Charitable Organization "Charity Fund "Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya" donated a batch of medical equipment, medicines, and consumables to the Kherson Regional Children's Clinical Hospital of the Kherson Regional Council.
To support the hospital's young patients and ensure the smooth operation of the facility, with the support of "terre des hommes Deutschland e.V." and funding from the German Federal Foreign Office, the Committee purchased and sent patient monitors, blood pressure monitors, medicines, and consumables (syringes, disinfectant wipes, catheters, bandages, etc.) to Kherson.

Currently, the Kherson Regional Children's Clinical Hospital is the only children's hospital in the region that provides specialized, rehabilitation, and primary medical care to children from birth to 18 years of age. Every year, the facility admits up to 16,000 inpatients and treats approximately 80,000 outpatients. Since the start of the full-scale russian-Ukrainian war, the city of Kherson has been under enemy occupation for eight months, and even in those difficult times for the community, the hospital staff continued to provide services to young patients – performing surgeries and saving newborns and children with injuries.
Now, with the russian army launching missile strikes on civilian targets and city infrastructure, doctors are increasingly faced with the need to treat children with severe injuries, including amputations, mine-blast injuries, and burns. Therefore, strengthening the material and technical condition of the institution is the key to timely response to the terrible consequences of war, in particular emergency cases.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Ukrainian doctors for their dedication, incredible resilience, professionalism, and daily efforts to save human lives and health. Thanks to you and together with you, we can do more!
