Continuing its long-standing cooperation with authorized state authorities, the Charitable Organization "Charity Fund "Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya" has signed a cooperation and partnership agreement with the Department of Social Protection of the Population of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration.

The term of the previous agreement has expired, and the new document updates joint actions to build an effective system for providing quality social, therapeutic, rehabilitation, and other services to persons with disabilities, children with disabilities, and their families in the Zakarpattia region, as well as providing assistance to internally displaced persons and other vulnerable groups.

Over the next five years, the signatories will focus their efforts on developing social protection institutions in the region, in particular in the direction of providing effective social and rehabilitation services; organizing, as necessary, advanced training or retraining of social protection institution employees; advocacy for communities in organizing the provision of necessary local social services, social protection for IDPs, development of a model of "social entrepreneurship" in Ukraine, and formal employment of persons with disabilities who are fully supported by the state; implementation of other joint measures in the field of social protection of vulnerable groups of the population.

The document was signed by Olha Travina, director of the regional department of social protection, and Nataliya Kabatsiy, director of CAMZ, who also agreed to hold a working meeting of specialists from both institutions to specify joint steps towards the development of social entrepreneurship and "supported employment" in social protection institutions in Zakarpattia.

As a reminder, last year, with the aim of optimizing the functioning of the Vilshany Children's Orphanage (now the Comprehensive Rehabilitation Center for Persons with Disabilities "Carpathian Pleso" of the Transcarpathian Regional Council) and to improve the living conditions of the institution's residents, a memorandum of partnership and cooperation was signed between the Charitable Organization "Charity Fund "Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya", the Comprehensive Rehabilitation Center for Persons with Disabilities "Carpathian Pleso", the Transcarpathian Regional Council, and the Department of Joint Property of Territorial Communities of Transcarpathian Regional Council.
