Our project "Improving the Protection of Children in Emergencies in Ukraine by Providing Safe Shelters, Food and Non-Food Items, and Psychosocial Support" continues, an important focus of which is providing assistance to healthcare institutions.

Ukrainian doctors, especially in frontline settlements, continue to work under increased workload and fulfill their professional duties despite the difficult security situation. In particular, the team of the municipal non-profit enterprise "Koryukivka Central District Hospital" of the Koryukivka City Council, located in Chernihiv region, is working. The institution, which provides medical care to the northern region of Chernihiv region with a population of about 200 thousand people, appealed to CAMZ with the need for special equipment for monitoring the physiological parameters of newborns.

The hospital has a Medical Guarantees Program package called "Medical Assistance during Childbirth" and a functioning children's department. Doctors often deal with pathologies in pregnant women and provide intensive care to newborns, premature babies with critically low birth weight, etc. To ensure a high level of medical care for the population and to maintain medical equipment in good working order, the Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya donated pulse oximeters, tonometers, neonatal phototherapy devices, a patient monitor with a touch screen, and medical scales with a height gauge for infants to the Koryukivka District Hospital. The new equipment is already being used to serve the medical facility’s clients – pregnant women, women in labor, and newborns.

The project "Improving the Protection of Children in Emergencies in Ukraine by Providing Safe Shelters, Food and Non-Food Items, and Psychosocial Support" is being implemented by the Charitable Organization "Charity Fund "Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya" with the support of "terre des hommes Deutschland e.V." and funding from the German Federal Foreign Office.
