Association "Network Switzerland – Transcarpathia/Ukraine", or abbreviated in the German way NeSTU – is a long-term partner of the CAMZ. We already have a common project history and many friends on a personal level. NeSTU is a platform for meetings, contacts and implementation of various social and cultural projects between Ukraine and Switzerland. Every year the Network holds a General Meeting for all members of its Association. Additional meetings are often held as part of the meeting. This time, all staff of the Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya (CAMZ) was invited for the first time. The subject of the meeting was life in Ukraine: what does it mean to be a Ukrainian NGO? How is it to work with the state authorities? How do women bring up children and work full-time in Ukraine? How is it to build something new? We tried not to scare off our Swiss friends and not to create a negative picture about Ukraine, although it was difficult to give optimistic answers to some questions. In the end, we all will definitely go on cooperating in future, we will think about common projects, and those who were at the Meeting learned a lot about Ukraine and may want to come to visit us.
