Early intervention is one of those sphered the staff of CO "MACZ" is actively trained. In order to develop integrally the comprehensive services for persons with disabilities, early intervention and, in general, support for families with children having special needs is a very important issue. After the introduction practical training in Switzerland in March 2018 the next step was to conduct workshops on the basis of the All-Ukrainian Charitable Organization "Down Syndrome" in Kyiv from Henny Graf (special education teacher) and Silvia Zimmermann (special education teacher on early intervention and physiotherapist) from Switzerland.

   Lesya Levko from CO "MACZ" and Oksana Lukach, Director of the Centre "Parasolka" in Tyachiv practically mastered the work of correctional teachers, psychologists and physiotherapists in the field of early intervention during this week. Documentation, first contact with parents, support of specific cases — all this should be discussed in practice, asked in specialists and the recommendations to be got from them. The work in this area is very interesting and extremely necessary. We also need specialists, who would establish the work at the places. And it is desirable these service to be provided to the potential recipients as close as possible geographically.
