During November 1-5, on the basis of the Faculty of Health and Physical Education of Uzhhorod National University, lectures and practical classes will be held for future remedial teaching educators - students studying in the specialty 016 "Special Education».

Sectoral professionals from Switzerland will work with future specialists:

Henny Graf, member of the Presidium of the Parasolka Association, Master in Special Education, a teacher for children with learning and behavioural problems, founder and director of a special school for children with disabilities, manager of the project "Inclusion in school", member of the board in the house for blind and deaf people and persons with complex disorders;

Hana Kubinets, Health Specialist, Social Educator (HFL) - Head of Practical Training at the Foundation for Persons with Severe Disabilities in Lucerne (SSBL);

Valerio Giustino, child support specialist, intern in the group of the Küttighofen kindergarten in nature, Civil Service employee in the institution for persons with mental disabilities;

Pius Schürch-Kunz, a social worker with experience as a caretaker in psychiatry, member of the board of the Arkadis Foundation, which has been led by him for 35 years.

According to the study schedule developed at the faculty, students will listen to a series of lectures, including special pedagogy, school correctional pedagogy and agogics, definitions, basics, key terms and approaches, and concepts of these disciplines, they will get acquainted with the Swiss experience of implementing measures for organising training, self-development, and leisure for people with disabilities in special institutions. Within the framework of the course, homework has been developed for students to consolidate the acquired knowledge, and the planned master classes will contribute to the testing of the acquired skills.

It has to be reminded, that in August this year during a meeting in Uzhhorod, representatives of the Charitable Organisation "Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattia" and the Faculty of Health and Physical Education of Uzhhorod National University with the support of the Parasolka Association (Switzerland) agreed to organise a series of training courses and lectures from Swiss specialists for students of the faculty who are trained in specialties 016 "Special Education" and 227 "Physical Therapy. Occupational therapy».
