Autumn for the Charitable Organisation "Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattia», as always, is the time to implement new plans - the school year for our inhabitants started with new interesting activities, coaches, and skills.

For two weeks, our partners expanded the opportunities for creativity and labour adaptation of inhabitants of the Social Abilitation and Rehabilitation Centre "Parasolka" and Vilshansky Orphanage. For example, Toune de Montmollin, a music therapist from Switzerland, worked with young people, and musician Volodymyr Budz from Kyiv tuned instruments and taught pupils to play the flute, accordion, and violin. New techniques in working with wool and textiles were demonstrated by Barbara Schweingruber and Marlis Kaufmann-Hunkeler, specialists in weaving and felting from wool.

A woodworking workshop has finally opened in a boarding house in Vilshany. Teacher Luzius Wehren first supervised the arrangement of the appropriate room, and soon under his leadership classes started for students who quickly mastered the technology of making chairs.

Working with a student of the Transcarpathian Academy of Arts Maria Levytska marked the preparation for the upcoming Christmas and New Year holidays. Postcards, and decorations were made together with the young artist, so our friends will definitely receive wonderful gifts with the most positive energy.

Such activities in the institutions under the care of the Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattia once again emphasise that assistance and care can be different, but they are united by an important goal - to fill the lives of people with disabilities with the right content, bright colours and a sense of demand in the society of equal people.
